This Privacy Policy on the protection of personal information (hereinafter the “Policy”) is
intended to help you understand our practices regarding the collection, use, disclosure
and retention of personal information. Preserving the confidentiality of personal
information is of great importance to us, which is why we are committed to upholding
the highest ethical standards when handling all information, especially personal data.
WHO ARE WE?
Powercast Manufacturing is a foundry specializing in the production of aluminum
castings. It offers high-quality manufacturing service to all types of customers in Canada,
the United States, Europe and Latin America.
HOW DO WE COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION?
We collect personal information from our employees and candidates by email,
telephone or transmission of documents in the following situations:
• Receipt of an application, a CV;
• The interview;
• Hiring;
• Membership in the group insurance and RRSP/RVER program.
We collect personal information from users of our website through our website contact
form and through the use of certain first-party cookies, solely for site functionality and
data analysis purposes.
Please note that we do not collect personal information through third parties.

(recruitment, human resources and payroll). They include information:

consent or in accordance with other legal bases. In each recruitment and employee
situation, we specify the purposes for which we use the information:
• Recruitment (to evaluate the application file and communicate);
• Employee file (to open the file and the payroll file);
• Training file (to validate acquired knowledge and updates);
• CNESST file (for follow-ups and interventions);
• Insurance and RRSP/RVER membership (to open files and make updates); And
• Remuneration (to prepare payroll).
Regarding users of the website, we specify the reasons for which we use personal
information:
• Request for information via the online form completed by the user (to communicate
with the person);

It is possible for users of the website to refuse the collection of your personal
information by:
Requesting to obtain information in person or directly by telephone, and not by email;

of their functions, in particular personnel in human resources, payroll and those who

and restricted manner. Any company staff member with access to personal information
must sign a confidentiality agreement.

for the purposes listed above, in particular, Service Québec, Service Canada, the CNESST,
the prevention mutual, an accounting firm, an insurance company, an IT service and to
whom it may concern by legal obligation. Indeed, we disclose personal information if
we are required by law or court order, in response to a law enforcement agency, to the
extent permitted by other provisions of law, to provide information, or for an
investigation into a matter related to public safety.
HOW LONG DO WE KEEP PERSONAL INFORMATION?
Personal information is retained only for the period required to carry out the purposes
set out in this Policy, as well as to comply with our legal obligations. A retention
schedule has been established for each type of personal information and destruction is
carried out when this period has expired.
WHERE DO WE STORE PERSONAL INFORMATION?
Personal information that we collect via paper transmission is stored in secure filing
cabinets. Personal information obtained in a digital format is stored in a secure
computer environment.
HOW DO WE PROTECT PERSONAL INFORMATION?
The personal information we collect is kept in a secure environment, whether using
firewalls, passwords that must be changed regularly, managing access to authorized
personnels via specialized web services, locking of filing cabinets and restriction of
access to premises.
The company periodically reviews the security measures in place to ensure their proper
application, effectiveness and relevance given the evolution of information systems and
technologies. We work with a company specializing in IT security to ensure the
implementation and updating of the best tools and practices in technological security.
WHAT RIGHTS DOES AN INDIVIDUAL HAVE WITH RESPECT TO THEIR PERSONAL
INFORMATION?
Everyone has the right of access, accuracy, rectification, de-indexing, anonymization and
withdrawal of their personal information. To exercise your rights, please contact the

HOW TO COMMUNICATE WITH US?
If you have any concerns, questions, requests or complaints about the Policy or
regarding the management of your personal information, contact the Privacy Officer
(Mr. Ravi Gupta) by contacting him via the 'Contact' section ' from the site

HOW TO FILE A COMPLAINT RELATING TO THE PROTECTION OF YOUR PERSONAL
INFORMATION?
You can send us your complaint via the 'Contact' section of the site www.powercast.ca,
by post to the address: 540 Boul Industriel, Saint-Eustache, QC J7R 5V3 or by telephone
at: (450) 473-1517, to the attention of Mr. Ravi Gupta , the Personal Information
Protection Officer.
Once the complaint is received, we will confirm receipt of the complaint within 72
hours, proceed to verify the identity of the person concerned, evaluate the complaint,
and if valid, proceed to rectify the situation within a reasonable period of time.
Everything will be carried out by Human Resources staff with the help and supervision of
the Personal Information Protection Officer.
HOW DO WE UPDATE THE POLICY?
We may collect other types of personal information in the future or our retention
techniques may change. We will therefore update the Policy in due course. We
encourage you to review the Policy each time you visit the website to stay informed
about how we treat personal information.
This policy was adopted on February 5, 2024, although crucial elements of this policy
were already in place since 2021.
We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy in order to maintain compliance with
the law and to reflect any changes to our data collection process. We recommend that
our users check our policy from time to time to ensure that they are informed of any
updates.
